CCULTIS Manifest

This moment the world is impacted by one more tragedy that hit Paris, The Compared legal cultures center, internationalization of law and justice systems at the Federal University of Santa Maria, which aims at the comparative study of legal cultures, respect the diversity of the world and the humanist values, pays homage to the victims, their families and the French people, whose culture is based on respect for republican values, democracy and freedom. We hope that governments and global institutions have wisdom to sanction direct and indirect authors of this terrible tragedy and that actions are taken based on the law, not to repeat the barbarism. The fight against terrorism and crimes against humanity must be ruthless and, at the same time preserving and protecting the rights of people, regardless of their origin, creed or social status, it must be a fundamental condition of respect for humanity.

Pesquisadora do CCULTIS participa do VI Simpósio Brasileiro sobre Cortes e Tribunais Internacionais

Aconteceu em São Paulo, nos dias 05 e 06 de novembro, o VI Simpósio Brasileiro sobre Cortes e Tribunais Internacionais. organizado pelo Núcleo de Estudos em Tribunais Internacionais da Universidade de São Paulo (NETI/USP), sob a coordenação do Prof. Dr. Wagner Menezes. 

O evento teve como temática central a discussão sobre "Tribunais Internacionais e redimensionamento das fontes do Direito Internacional". 

Dentre os expositores do evento, a pesquisadora do Centro de Culturas Jurídicas Comparadas, Rafaela da Cruz Mello, apresentou trabalho realizado em conjunto com a Professora Jânia Maria Lopes Saldanha, intitulado "DAS ILHAS AOS DIÁLOGOS ENTRE TRIBUNAIS".

O evento terá como resultado a publicação dos papers apresentados nos cadernos da Pós-Graduação da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo, nos anais do "VI Simpósio Brasileiro sobre Cortes e Tribunais Internacionais". Tal obra será publicada no primeiro semestre de 2016.
